Week of 25–31 October 2026 — The opening week of this record. The Centre halved the size a company must reach to apply for the textile PLI scheme, a change Surat's chamber had asked for; diamond units are planning a Diwali break of about two weeks instead of a month, on the back of Christmas orders; and the city ate its ghari on Chandi Padvo, with the gold-leaf version costing more.
